Cayo Largo del Sur

Known simply as Cayo Largo, this tiny island measures only 15 miles across, but is home to some of the most amazing beaches your eyes will ever see.

To the west, Playa Sirena and Playo Paraiso are a kilometer apart.

While Playa Paraiso offers more privacy that attracts nudists, Sirena offers full-service facilities.

Activities on the beaches may be cut short when sea turtles are laying eggs, so check first before making plans to stay there.

There is a dolphin attraction, docks for catamaran trips and tidal flats where large starfish congregate.
